Sunflower Ammunition Plant

The sign at the front gate says it all. Like something of a visual metaphor of the Cold War itself, the former Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant sits wasting away on the outskirts of Kansas City. All that remains are a few buildings with collapsing roofs and a gutted guard shack at the main entrance.

Photographed with a Pentax 67 and SMC Pentax 67 55mm lens on Fuji Neopan Acros 100 film, semi-stand developed in Adox Adonal.
