On his way to the gate, a traveler passes over a mosaic depicting stars and planets. Part of a photo series I call, "Please don't take away my airport!" to illustrate life in Terminal A at Kansas City International Airport. The airport's future is being threatened by a city council that (not surprisingly) is siding with major airlines who want to see it replaced by a much smaller airport with a more economical security screening solution.
Photographed with a Leica M6 and Leitz Summilux-M 35mm lens on Ilford HP5 film. Stand-developed in Adox Adonal.
